I agree with you as far as my experience goes, Lenny and Kris, with the 35/3.5, 28/3.5 qnd the 55/1.8. Get to know them and they are fantastic. I can add my recently acquired 20/4 to that list of great lenses.

The K28/3.5 is excellent.

If you want a K35/3.5 I'm thinking of selling one.

There's no import duty from other members of the EU.

I can't recommend any online retailers for Pentax gear. I rarely buy anything new, and usually there are better deals to be had from the likes of SRS or the 2nd hand markets.

This thread only goes to show we all have our own ideas about what we like and what we don't, what we can ignore in a photo and what we can't.

Another thing there'll never be a consensus for.

And, lets face it, so what?

The Moon.

Unless you work for NASA, there's only one viewpoint of the moon to be had.
Different every day (or even night), well, for about a month. Clear nights, some with flitting cloud. Eclipses. Wolf howling at it (never a cliche, that one). ET on a bicycle in front of it.

Part of a landscape shot, long lens shot. With a planet by it's side, through a telescope........

Endless ways of photographing the Moon!

Great to see the feedback and the humour being taken in exactly the right way.

Personally, I'm still (almost) at the point where nothing is a cliché. Still a newbie, really. I've only ever taken a few milky water shots, so it's new to me. If I ever get a chance to take a photo of Durdle Door (which is unlikely) then I'll take one, as I, personally, have never taken one before, though 6 trillion (approx.) other people have.

But, like smeggy so eloquently said, only the outstanding images stand out, when so many similar shots have been taken and presented.

So, QC, carry on taking milky water shots if you want to (I will!) because practice is good and, when, one day, that striking opportunity rears in front of you, you'll be able to do it justice. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway!!

Long exposure water is like HDR to me now.
Soon, you won't be able to take any photos at all, smeggy!
