Thanks guys
Gary, it was ZereneStacker; not had much success in the past, as it usually makes a bit of a mess (probably me).
After stacking, I masked-in one of the original images for the background, not really necessary, but fractionally nicer.

Just stepped outside to try my new lens From AndrewA.
Misty, still grey morning. 3 feet from the front door.
The JPEG quality is immediately impressive, but I kept it at F5.6 and stacked 6 (unprocessed) images.

Oh, BTW, bought from SRS in May so I believe that means 2 year warranty (although they haven't got back to me)

I took some moon shots last night to show you, but I lost them during a Photoshop upgrade! Oops!

Portrait and wedding photographer's dream lens!
Fabulous also for low-light gigs.
Beautiful shots, silent and indispensable low-light abilities.
The lens comes with both the hood and the optional hood extender, making a really imposing and professional-looking combination and providing beautiful images that really pop and have lovely colour and contrast.
Not sure I've really done it justice with these images, but you get the idea.

(images hastily processed for Facebook - not the print versions!)

I bought this lens for a wedding in the spring and shortly after, came across a cheap DA*50-135 which covers the same range, and as I don't do many weddings, the 85 is now a bit of a luxury.

£599 inc P&P

I sold some land this year and bought a selection of lenses to try out, and get to the bottom of my LBA.
I suspected I didn't really use long lenses and I was right! After some successful forays into the country it has sat on my desk looking awesome but needing someone who'll love it. £820 (4 months old, as new)

SMC 1.7 AF convertor as new - £210. This little beaut, will auto-focus manual lenses and works perfectly with the 300 too, (just get it close and then auto focus).

Bundled together - £999 (Now that is a serious saving)

Exquisitely sharp wide open, but here's f5:6

Hi Stalky. Welcome!
The 50 will give you better 'blurry' shots (bokeh) and is great for portraits if you have the space to step back a little. The 35 is a sweet little lens and lets you get in closer, but I have both (well, 50 1.4), and the 35 is almost never on the camera.

Not a fan of these pretentious awards.
They just look like snapshots to me. Not technically clever, or witty, or beguiling compositions; I don't get it at all.
