Lens arrived from Spain very promptly. Safely packaged.
What a cute little lens.
Having bought several big lenses recently which rarely go in the bag, I'm totally embracing small from now on

Have you checked your sensor is level! My old K10D was miles out.

I reckon they're hoping everyone will have smart phones, 4G and fabulous eyesight! That way they can keep their advertising revenue
Personally I want a LIKE button.

Sold!
Swapped for that 77 Ltd, which I don't expect to be better, but I can fit it in the bag, so maybe I'll use it more.
Is there any way for people to earn reputation points on here? because despite doing a swap; for security between UK and Spain, we bought our lenses from each other using PayPal, which stung a little

Ha ha, ace!
I'd say a good proportion were deliberate.
It's good to see that hand crafted panos still have a place, but it does make me wish my phone could do this, so I could create some more fakes

Price reduced to £540
Here's a shot from this afternoon. This is bread and butter for this lens.

You could achieve this with two table lamps set behind and either side of the model.
You may have to shade the lens from the light as they will be pointing towards you.
Alternatively, and ideally, you will have a couple of rectangle light boxes with grids to keep the stray light to a minimum.
You won't need much room.
Hang something dark behind her out of the light. A bit of texture often helps, but it's easy enough to burn it in in Photoshop etc.

I routinely go over 1600
In film days I chose high iso (asa?) precisely for the grain.
Since the K7 I have loved the film-like quality of Pentax noise. I very rarely try to suppress it, and turn the image to sludge.
My last (all day) event shoot at Borringdon (Tudor) Hall, was all shot at 1600 and above.
I did check with the client that she wasn't going to try and produce huge posters from the images tho It was DVD artwork and online promos so no problems at all.

Interesting shot. Nice tones.
Is that sensor dust and staining in the sky and river?
What have you been up to with that camera?
