Here's a little Friday evening bump for the DA*300.
Apparently the SRS part of the warranty isn't transferable.

And the converter?

I think I'm going to keep the 300. It is just too awesome to not have when I need some power
1.7 AF convertor is still available, although I should probably keep that for the same reason...

Is there a list somewhere of lenses the converter is compatible with?

No idea. Anybody?
I've used in on all sorts; SMC m 200 f4, 100 macro, 300*.
It works the same on all of them - get it close by hand and leave the convertor to do the rest. The focusing ability is indistinguishable from the lens on its own. There will be an inevitable fall-off of light and sharpness, but this is a Pentax convertor so I imagine it's about as good as they get in this respect.

For those of you interested in the Pentax AF 1.7 tele converter, this is the original thread. Ignore the stuff about the 300 - I'm keeping that

I suspected I didn't really use long lenses and I was right! After some successful forays into the country it has sat on my desk looking awesome but needing someone who'll love it. £820 (4 months old, as new)
SMC 1.7 AF convertor as new - £210. This little beaut, will auto-focus manual lenses and works perfectly with the 300 too, (just get it close and then auto focus).
Bundled together - £999 (Now that is a serious saving)
Exquisitely sharp wide open, but here's f5:6
Free P&P on single items. £15 for the bundle.
