I have 645N with FA 45mm 2.8 going begging If you want to start you MF journey with something modern
And yes, 120mm positives are stunning. They are big enough to mount in frames with no back and put in the window
oh yes, I have a load of film in the freezer, ready to go.

Late as usual.
I like the pier and I like that it is soft, giving it a sense of distance; Things aren't pin sharp when they're a long way away.
I like the first viaduct shot, really nice and I like the illustrative, slightly unreal processing.
Great work with the leaf, nice idea. composition could be more striking

In a sense there is no maximum size. Think of billboards, the bigger the print the greater the viewing distance.
While this is undoubtedly true, not everyone has the luxury of space or is able to keep people away from the image. A 10 MB file can go to A2 and tolerate close inspection if it doesn't contain fine detail. So a landscape is likely to be fine, but a macro shot, or other sharp image that's dependent on resolution, will be less forgiving.
Those 4K screens in the shops have huge impressive images even 1 foot away, you couldn't do that with my 'HD' telly so with a very big file you can hang a long panorama in your hallway and people can spend ages searching it for details, whilst standing just inches away putting on their coat

Was the solarised effect deliberate? The first one in particular looks like the white end of the histogram has had its output reduced. They all look a little grey at the white end.

So combined price for the K5 and DA17-70 f4: £520
or the K5 and DA40mm or FA50 1.4: £500
M 50mm f1.7 - £35
M 200mm f4 - £40
M 135mm f3.5 - £35

Individual price for 17-70 - £240 (so the bundle is quite a saving)

This is a great Christmas bundle for a family member.
17-70 still in warranty. All boxed.
Can sell FA50mm 1.4...
or DA40mm pancake...
and a whole load of manual lenses with it, or separately.
Send me a message or request pictures if you're interested.
Haven't really thought about price, but expect a bargain, as my shelf is groaning after years of hording!

Thanks David.
I used two Yongnuo flashes on about 128th and 1 second shutter in the dark with mirror up.

I set this up with the K5 and then used the Zed, hoping for massive prints and exquisite quality, but it wasn't better at all
The lens had to be stopped down so much to get the whole drop in focus (or shoot from further back and crop), that the image became noisy and soft.
This one turned out ok tho. Web-size at least. Won't go much bigger, which is ironic
I love the way two drops have been stopped at that moment of symmetry

Incidentally, I am finding the Z is not better at extreme macro at all. There's definitely a beautiful quality to normal macro, but I haven't got anywhere near the magnification of a K5 with its vast armory of available lenses and adapters. I'll keep plugging away tho...
