Fear?? maybe another word Father. They haven't given us anything to be afraid of for nearly 1000 years! and then it was only because they snuck in the back door while we were busy thrashing the Scandinavians up North as I recall (the A1 shuttle wasn't invented then...)

yeah but the kingfisher's a bit over sharpened

like your style divtag
I look forward to seeing some more!

So I guess that's a divtag with inline style then...

this new competition should definitely be in the normal forum area, not next to the main competition. Having it next to the main one would detract from that competition and would capture the same audience etc.
I have no problem with just the results from the judge and C&C by fellow entrants - it would make it different and possibly more honest!
Looking forward to it.

I was hoping to go up to the Newnham Courtney Arboretum in Oxfordshire with my Dad (just in time for this week's comp.) I can't make it... but you can

I assume it's open, can't find any info...

oh well
Well done for getting in there and capturing it.
You realise it qualifies for this week's competition don't you?

That's beautiful! i WONDER IF THEY CAN LAMINATE IT LIKE THAT (OOPS CAPS LOCK!) and leave it in place. I suspect the health & safety brigade will see to it that no such enjoyment can be had and it'll be replaced forthwith!

It's no good Mac...we've lost him to the dark side

Don, wasn't it a new V-Max you were toying with ... maybe use the helmet for the first couple of goes eh?

I agree that there shouldn't be two competitions, I was toying with just setting a mini contest for anyone interested: As there are garden spiders everywhere at this time of year I thought it would be fun to run a contest to get the most interesting shot as opposed to the standard symetrical one.

I like the idea of just suggesting that the image for the main competition is taken that week, it stimulates creativity, but I have no problem with old shots if that's all you have or it is clearly worth showing.
