Mornings

As I was rushing to the bus this morning there was a light covering of mist, a raking, golden sunlight, dew on the spiders webs, sheep in the field... a whole wealth of photographic opportunities. But, I was on the way to the bus to go to work, no time, no camera, no photos. Bets on Saturday morning being dreek and and dull?

C'est la vie, I guess.

Best wishes, Kris.

Hi Kris,

That is the story of my life. When I have time to practice my hobby, the weather gods make sure its dull and wet out.

Terry and Ian, Guys!

That's why indoor macro photography was invented. I always feel I'm missing something when I'm playing with bellows on a sunny day, but perfectly justified when its wet.

Kris,

I guess this doesn't help you much at work though, does it?

Mac I love your attitude!
Guys..brave the bad weather as best you can. there are great images to be made out there!
and if you can't, Mac is right.

I just got some news from the Doc, about some arthuritis and spondylosis setting into old injuries on my neck and spine. No point crying about it.

I'M FINALLY GETTING A NOTE FROM MY DOCTOR EXCUSING ME FROM HAVING TO WEAR A HELMET ON MY MOTORCYCLE! WOO-HOO!

Don,

WOO-HOO??????????

OK, so you have a note from the Doc excusing you from wearing a helmet.

Do you have any idea how many times you're going to be stopped on your way from Winnipeg to Montreal when you come to visit?

They used to pull you over just to chat up Gerri, but now?

I'll have to Google spondylosis, does it hurt?

And is there a weight limit on your lenses now (we've just been talking about Optech neck straps).

I see a warm climat in your future - and it AIN'T Winterpeg!

Be well, my friend!

Mac, I once dislocated my sternum. All my ribs move around, and arthuritis set in there. the bad news..it only hurts when I breathe. The good news: I still breathe. (catching a cold sucks...coughing is hell).
Yeah my neck and shoulder hurt. but not all the time. mostly in the mornings.
and no, I don't let it slow me down....I get a little cranky sometimes, but life too good to miss out on it.
I try to be a decent enough person, that Heaven is an option, just not too good, I figure if I get on God's nerves once in a while, He won't be in any hurry to call me back.
Arizona sounds nice, but I think B.C. is more fun...
I'm waiting to hear about a newer bike this week...maybe Montreal in the spring...fingers crossed!

I pick up my new bike on Tuesday... mobile again, yay!

Mac... I don't let bad weather kill my fun. Saturday I'm going to Salisbury so I will probably be shooting cathedral interiors. I may even dust off the old TLR for the occasion. I have some rolls of TMax 100 and Velvia 50 sitting in the fridge waiting to be used.

The thing with this morning, the light and mist was just gorgeous!

Best wishes, Kris.

Don,

The porch light's always on for you guys!

See my PM when you get a minute.

Kris,

Good spirts my man. What TLR will you use?

Light and mist - what a challenge to get it just right - what a reward when you do!

Ever used fog filters? I've only just heard of them.

I figure England's a pretty good place to try them out.

Take it easy on that new bike!

Cheers,

Don, wasn't it a new V-Max you were toying with ... maybe use the helmet for the first couple of goes eh?
Don

well the new vmax idea is dependant on wedding sales for next season, with the economy being what it is....
well, there's always the yamaha fz1 and older bmw k bikes to look at...
I was never good at math, but even I know that if I spend 100% of my money, on a motorcycle, I'll have nothing left for groceries. I'll wind up cooking roadkill on the side of the road...alone...
so if it boils down to vmax or Gerri...well, lets put any rash descisions off till spring...ok?

Cheers,

The TLR is a Yashica Mat 124 G. I know, I know I should be using a nice 67 but I inherited this one and can't afford a 67.

I have never used a fog filter. Spend more time trying to get the fog off my lenses This time of year it can get a bit misty.

Now... what shall I pack for tomorrow's trip?

Best wishes, Kris.
