I have no problem with the odd shot from another camera. We all use lenses from other makers and it's the photo that matters.
I think the fact that this is a Pentax forum will pretty much ensure that 95 percent of entries are from equipment we are familiar with. That's good enough for me.

That looks a bit slow ken, How is it?
I would want a fast processor ('x2') and tonnes of ram. and a sherpa with me at all times so I can enjoy my experience.
You can get dedicated 2D graphics cards for PhotoShop. and I suspect there are some specifically designed for raw processing and viewing.

Unless I was going on a photographic 'holiday', I wouldn't dream of taking an SLR with me - what a nighmare! if you are going to saddle yourself with a single 'do it all' lens, then there's almost no point in luggging a huge camera around with you. Compromise, and get a bridge camera with a wide ranging lens 10 to 12 x zooms are common and they all go quite wide.
Or better still get a top quality waterproof pocket digital and never be without it, (easy to hide too).

In my experience when you look on the map and the roads are all wiggly then everything else falls into place. Great fun swinging thru the bends and the bends are there cos there's something in the way which means nice scenery. Bingo! I am already soooo jealous.

When you get it Dan, please put me first in line for the FA50. I'd hate to see it gathering dust.
