Ringflash sold to the quickest of three responders, subject to payment.

It could have sold three times in the first 15 minutes!

Being 70, and having Parkinson's forces me to sell some of my Pentax gear to fund something less heavy but just as satisfying.

In the first instance , I will list what I am seeking to sell. If any interest is generated, I will be happy to take and display the necessary photographs of each item.

All items have been looked after well and have not been dropped, knocked etc. All items offered for sale in good faith:-

Pentax K5 body - 11,830 shutter activations - as far as I can tell, in excellent condition. £195

Pentax AF160FC Macro Ring Flash, boxed (includes the storage case it came in and the outer Pentax cardboard box. , excellent condition - rarely used - £135

Pentax-F SMC 1.7x AF Adapter - enables non-AF lenses to focus as AF and operates as a conventional 1.7x lens converter at the same time. £239 (based on recent ebay completed deals) - excellent condition

... and now the bargain box, both in good condition (I am open to offers here):-
Pentax-M SMC 80mm-200mm zoom lens 1:4.5
Tamron 28mm-200mm AF LD 1:3.8-5.6 zoom lens - Pentax mount

Many thanks,

John

I have their book on the K-3ii. In my opinion it is excellent and well worth the money.

Can anyone help me please?

I have a nine year old HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop which I have used during that period to run PSE versions 3, 7 and now 10. I have had no problems with any PSE version during that time including PSE 10. However, recently PSE 10 has now decided to crash every time I load it. As soon as I load it, I get the following message:

"RUNTIME ERROR!
PROGRAM: C/: PROGRAM FI...
THE APPLICATION HAS REQUESTED THE RUNTIME TO TERMINATE IT IN AN UNUSUAL WAY. PLEASE CONTACT THE APPLICATION'S SUPPORT TEAM FOR MORE INFORMATION"

The message appears in lower case. I have shown it in capitals for clarification.

I have tried rebooting, defragmenting (twice) and deleting and reloading PSE 10 (three times) with no improvement.

Quite why PSE 10 now crashes in this way after running without problem for several months defeats me. I don't really want to buy a new laptop just to get PSE 10 back.

The only thing I have changed is setting it so that the initial loading screen does not appear, the loading now goes straight to the editor without giving the choice between Organiser and Editor (I do not use the Organiser). As PSE 10 now longer loads properly, I cannot now deselect this option to see if it is the cause of the problem.

Any ideas please?

John

A wonderful set, Steve.

What day were you on Skomer? I was there myself on Sunday 18 May and got talking to someone with a K3, a Pentax 300mm and a Pentax waterproof compact.

John

Hi Neil.
It's good to be able to put a face to a name!
