Right click on the desktop (anywhere not on an icon).
Click 'Properties'
Click the 'Settings' tab
What does it say under 'Screen Resolution'?
If it says something like 1024x600, move the slider to the right until it says something like 1680x1050, as that's the native resolution of your monitor.
If it's not that, I don't know what it is.
When you quoted "camera RAW requires resolution 1024x768 and my pic is set lower,do I want to continue?", what did it say exactly?

Well, I took your advice regarding the mono pic. ( At least, I think I've followed the advice ), and it does make for a stronger image, so I have uploaded it to the gallery.
Thanks again guys

there is a page in the Bible, in Corrinthians about Love.... "Love is Patient, Love is kind.."..etc
that is a staple in our Wedding coverage...this shot is always a pleaser!
good luck!
The strength of the heart shape is very much reduced in your shot Don, perhaps a bit of experimentation will reach a happy medium.

I also use tripods when it's nice and sunny, and shutter speeds are perfectly hand-holdable. I can compose my shot, take a photo, check exposure, fine tune composition if necessary, take some more shots... If my composition was perfect, but the exposure was out, how annoying would it be to have to put the camera back up to my eye and start the composition process again? With a tripod, you can just adjust what's necessary, and leave what's right alone.
I do handhold shots too, but I wouldn't be without a tripod.
