I've got the LP2275w, which is lovely, so I'm sure the two of you will be very happy together. I used it to replace a Samsung CRT, and I'd say the LCD is as good, if not better, than that.

I can't imagine why you would want to use standard ND's at all for digital work.

The same effect can be easily achieved in post processing.
Not if you want a longer shutter speed than your aperture/iso combination will give you. Then an ND filter is really your only option (or a polariser, but then that might affect the shot in ways you don't want).

Any more suggestions gratefully received.
Sit for half an hour or so and see if there's one spot that they jump up more than any others, or at least a regular leaping point. Then, pre-focus, set your exposure manually, camera on tripod, use a remote release (so that you're not trying to look through the viewfinder and shoot when they come into view - you'll be too late ), it might be an idea to use a bit of fill-in flash too, depending what the light's like.

And have fun.

Good luck!

On my K10D you just have to press the green button to return to Auto-ISO. No need to use the OK button. And you can change the dials to do anything you want really (within reason ), so in Av mode, my front dial controls ISO, in Tv the rear one does. Again, no need for the OK button.

Is there any way this could be camera or lens related?
No.

You just didn't notice the double rainbow, they happen quite frequently, and although a lot harder to see than the main rainbow, they're often there when you look for them.

Actually as medium format cameras went, the Pentax 645 and 67 models were very much in the field cameras.

They both operate in a very similar way to the 35mm SLRs and apart from the bulk are quite good at catching action. I say quite good because they are quite bulky!
Fair point John, perhaps I should just have left my comment as "The 645D is unlikely to have faster AF or better high ISO performance...so it may well not satisfy Drew"

But the 645D is unlikely to have faster AF or better high ISO performance, as it's surely primarily a studio camera, so it may well not satisfy Drew.

Firstly, to change the shutter speed, you can't be in green mode. You can only do it in P, Tv, TAv and M.

The front e-dial (under the shutter button) will probably be the dial to turn to change the shutter speed. I say probably because you can change the functions of the two e-dials, but I think the default is that it's the front dial.

So, put the mode dial to Tv, and turn the front e-dial - you should see the shutter speed changing in the top LCD screen. Once you've got the hang of it, try it with the other modes.

Hope that helps,
Dan

You've got your telescope up to the wrong eye.

It's a container ship, so the big lump in the middle of the frame is the back end of the ship, with funnel and accommodation. Perhaps you were thinking more along the lines of tall ships?

I don't know, I'm not at home!

Unfortunately glitches like this happen every now and again, it's just very unfortunate that it clogs up our inboxes and drives us round the bend!

I'm sure there'll be an apology from the IT Team when they're next in the office.
