Certainly, featurewise K-7 is a different class, but at the end of the day IQ is what really matters. IMHO.
Yes, the K-x appears to have better IQ in certain circumstances (low light), but I rarely need that, and would much prefer the K-7 due to it being in 'a different class'.

Weather sealing, extra controls, better viewfinder etc, that's what matters to me, and why I've still got a K10D. I wouldn't swap it for a K-x. I most definitely would swap it for a K-7! But that's just me.

I was hoping they were going to do it just before the end of the cashback but no such luck. I have my eye on something else at the moment.

No, I want to take my macro shooting forward a jump or two and unfortunately the lens I need is only available in one mount.
Could you not get that lens, and a, oh I don't know, let's say EOS to PK, mount converter? Granted you'd lose infinity focus, but as far as I know, that lens doesn't focus to infinity anyway, and you'd instead get even higher magnification.

Worth a thought?

Duncan, read this thread and see if it helps. Would you have been certain of getting the correct exposures with your 360?

No problem Dave, you shouldn't be so shy.

I'm thinking about the one at Ffordes as I know that cosmetically it has some signs of use (a scratch on the paintwork). It won't affect image quality but a but of me thinks that if you're going to fork out a lot of money on a lens you want it to look good too!
You are not the only one
Oh for goodness sake Mike, every time anyone mentions a lens, you're considering buying it!

Have you considered rehab?

It makes a handy bird table while you're waiting for the mouse to come out.

For my old Tamron 300mm f/2.8 I just bought an old pair of camo trousers from an army surplus shop, cut one of the legs off and used that as a 'sleeve' for the lens. Did the job, cost £5, and good enough to fool a starling.

Brain addled from too much gin.

Don't worry about paper size (which is what you mentioned in the first post), just concentrate on using the resize option for the image.

If you've resized it to the correct dimensions (something like 35mm x 45mm, I think?) and view a print preview, it should show as a small image on a big sheet of paper. If not, then there's something else going wrong, and you'll have to talk us through step by step what you're doing, for us to see where the problem lies.

Just a heads-up for those in the Essex/Suffolk area, that London Camera Exchange in Colchester are having a Pentax Day on 30th January.

I'll be loitering around there from about 10.00am onwards, if anyone want to come and say 'hello'.

I have to say it's great to have a Pro Dealer in Essex at last - I was up there a couple of weeks ago and they have a nice range of stock (3 different K-x colours, 100mm WR macro etc), which is always good. Cameraworld, as good as they are, generally don't have much Pentax, and aren't listed as Pro Dealers anymore.

Hope to see you there!

When you consider they were also selling the DA* 200mm f2.8 for almost a quarter of the price then it seems they will never sell the FA unless they find an ardent film user
You do realise that was the legendary 200mm macro, don't you? Completely different beast than the DA*200mm.
