Will sort out a couple more, but times like this I wish I had a Pentax macro lens instead of the Sigma, as my macro shots are the ones I'm most proud of, and which show off the capabilities of the camera (and me of course )

My Sigma shows very, very little CA at any focal length.

To a great extent I have to agree with George. In fact soon after buying my K10D it stopped responding to one of the wheels for AV control.
Did it to me today, and soon sorted without resorting to removal of the battery.

Looking at Chris' detailed evaluation of the entries (which is greatly appreciated) I'm (almost ) glad that I didn't win as that would have put the burden on my slender shoulders.
Thanks Chris, and thanks to all for their comments - there were some cracking shots on here and I didn't envy Chris at all. Haven't been thinking of a potential theme so will now do so...

Approach them very slowly, patience is the best tool for macro work I reckon.
