I replied to that before seeing your other thread, and the fly there looks nicely detailed. But, being two different subjects may well confuse things, and it may be the contrast on the fly's eye that gives the impression of sharpness. Nice shot though, and very well done with the focusing.

Nice composition and colours, but looking at the full size version, I can't help but think the quality's suffering, probably due to that teleconverter. Nothing looks properly defined, not from being out of focus, or due to camera shake, but just a bit fuzzy over all.

I'd be inclined to try some test shots with and without the converter, just to see how much it affects the image quality.

The second fly shot looks nicely detailed, bet focusing was a nightmare at this magnification.

It's not clear whether the littlewoods/additions/marshall ward one comes with the lens, they do an almost identical listing for £749 too. If it's body only, then there's only £75 cashback, but still a bargain. Play.com are doing the body only, with free delivery, for £629, and that's still eligible for the £75 cashback.
