Thank you.

Took a while though...

Chris,

Either the PU team have been hard at work, or the search works differently for you than for me. I entered 'airshow' and that thread of Javam's was third on the list. Enter 'Chateau' and it's the second one.

It doesn't find 'Frontenac', but that's only mentioned in the title of the thread, which I realise it should be searching for as well, but that does narrow down the problem a little.

If yours is different, then that's very odd.

Just to show it's not just John that does a bit of photoshopping now and again...

I needed a picture of a brass, ornate teapot, and although I'd found a nice one on the net, of a perfectly suitable size for my immediate requirements (take note all who advocate that small web images are of no use ), I obviously wanted one I didn't have to pay for.

However, finding an ornate brass teapot is not easy, so when I saw a small jug for £2 on the market, I had an idea...

This has the added benefit of being big enough for printing large as well, should we ever need it.

Really unfriendly portrait sitters!

Yes, I use it for wildlife, mainly for birds in the garden to be honest, but also some mammals, the first was this Yellow Necked Mouse, that used to come out to the peanut feeder in my garden. He'd always pause in the same spot, so I prefocused, set up the cable release, and went indoors and had a cup of tea while I waited for it to come back out.

Also handy for shots of Starlings, who tend to be a bit nervous, and I've also done a Hornet's nest with it.

You mean you don't read each and every post?!?

Actually, yes, that did come in handy every now and again.

You'll still be in the euphoric stage then John...

I extended mine to about 82 feet in total, in 3 seperate lengths (2 foot, 20 foot and 60 foot). Not as convenient as a wireless, but each device has it's own benefits.

I'll go back and read the rest of the thread now.

Did it? Certainly it used to put them at the top of some of my messages, but I thought it usually worked.

Oh well, glad we've got this new forum, the old one was rubbish!

Dan

Oh, I also asked that the smilies are visible by default, rather than clicking on a button to show them. Seems a bit pointless to me.

I'm really glad things have calmed down here somewhat, I didn't log in for a day or so cos the whole atmosphere was doing my head in, but it seems to be heading back to it's usual, generally content, self again.

Well done all for sticking with it, and well done the PU team for working very hard to address the issues raised so far.

Dan

P.S. Just noticed a bug... If you add a smiley after you've typed out your message, it always inserts it at the end of the message, no matter where you've placed your cursor. Off to report it now!
