Well spotted indeed!
There was that case, some years ago, when Private Eye, I think it was, headlined the story about police assaulting an arrested man whom they had 'cuffed to a central heating device with the headline:
WATCH-OUT SARGE, HE'S GOT A RADIATOR!
A bit like photography, isn't it?
Nothing new.

The narrow "border" on the right was to balance the area of sunshine on the left & I wanted a tight crop to emphasize the subject.
I thought the final link in the chain echoed the fossil in the stone, top right.
Best regards,
Roger.

No, nothing looks sharp on the original, either on screen or in an A4 print.
To sum up:
Turn-off SR.
Stop down to f16 (5.6 would be nice- live with the resultant loss of DOF(?))
I have used stacking, but if no plane in this image seems to be sharp, I would only be using multiple "soft" images!
Could someone tell me where the "soft" in the exif comes from?
A thought of my own - is it worth using mirror lock-up with this level of reproduction?
Find a flatter egg?
Best regards,
Roger

I don't think this is as sharp as it could / should be.
1). Do you agree?
2). How do I improve my technique?

K7, Pentax 100mm DFA Macro, Pentax Bellows M, delayed shutter release, 1 sec. @ f22, on tripod(!)
Thanks,

But..
I find the presence of the gate in the frame doesn't work. No sooner has the wall started to do its job of leading the eye into the (lovely colours of) the scene but the open gate drags it back, & there it gets stuck!
Crop?

What treasures!
No.2 is stunning. The textures of the glass, the rust(of course!), the flaking paint...
But mostly the "placing" of the bolt-head in the frame & the area of green paint bottom centre.
I don't know much about photography but, my goodness, I like this!
Thanks for letting us see.

P.S., get it on P.U. asap!
