Hi Richard, if you want traditional cotswolds, then there's Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Bibury, Moreton on the Marsh, The Slaughters and Broadway.

Base yourself nr to say Bourton then the rest is easily drive-able within an 30mins max, Broadway may be 45 mins.

Plus there's Cheltenham or Gloucester, and within the cotswolds there's Falconary centre's Cafe's, plenty of Walks, Take your pick.

I thought the Sigma 4.5mm was on its way for Pentax mount?

yes, it is

won't be cheap though (c. £600?), if you want a bit cheaper, there's some of the odd-brand stuff such as the
8mm Samyang
.
Umm not sure, having seen what RR has sent, I'd need to look at the AOV, I think Park Camera's currently offer the 4.5mm albeight in non PK mounts around £499.

Hiya, I'd like to have a go with an extreme wide angle lens, something in the order of a 4.5mm or similar, been looking for a while and whilst Sigma make a 4.5mm, it's not available in Pentax fit.

I've a Sigma 10-20 which is great and love the effect when wide, hence fancy going a tad wider, I know I won't use it all the time, but could justify the cost ..... almost to myself anyway.

I did have a Fish-eye adaptor some years back, which screwed onto the front of a 50mm, but the quality was fairly awful, so my Q is,

Any suggestions ? quite happily go down the used route or does anyone know different please.

I've had an almost new 2x on the classifids for a while, hardly any use, boxed and with instructions and case etc, would accept £175 inc postage within the UK.

PM me if interested,

The Sigma 105mm macro is close to your budget, alternatively look at the Tamron 90mm macro, similar money.I use the Sigi and it's a great lens.

NSantos, Thank you for the comments on my web site, all the images have been shot with a Pentax, varies from the Ist'd to a K10D and the last few with a K7.

I have used the Sigi 100 - 300 F4 with a 2x Conv, does work although you need a decent amount of light to avoid camera shake, have done some test shots at 60th Sec not pin sharp but acceptable.

Have both camera's and in my view the K7 snaps in quicker, although yet to try it on fast jets or in flight birds. hth
