I think if you shoot in green mode, the camera defaults to jpeg, worth a look in the handbook or just try it.

It'll depend on the quality of the scope, cheapies can be obtained for £200 - £300 or you can spend upwards of £1500 - £2000 just for the scope only and add another £300 ish for a decent eyepiece when you want to use it as a scope.

Thanks Gwyn, I use a card reader to tfr images over and Picasa 3 imports them fine, it's trying to get them to view ideally full screen as they import 1 at a time that I'm attempting to do.

ps - I've also tried Lightroom 3 - no success.

Hiya all, would like to be able to display portrait images as shot on camera via a Samsung netbook, I'd like to go for a Wi-Fi card to send the images from the camera to the netbook and for software to display the images as taken.

some trials so far, tried PKteher, won't display unless camera attached by cable, Picasa 3 will import but not show full screen each image as shot.

Comments, software recommendations, solutions very welcome,

Not yet purchased a wi-fi card as would like to test it works first, have been throwing files at input folder to mimick action.

Currnetly running Picasa 3, Pentax K5 / K7, CS4

I've had mine just 4 weeks, superb piece of kit, well pleased with IQ and the ISO flexability is stunning, only used it to 8000 iso at the moment but will try 12500 soon.

I do have a stubbon dust bunny on the sensor, prob come from inside that I can't shift, tried wet and dry cleans.

Hi Stefan, Don't know, the iso 80 is on the extended range, and have'nt used that yet, there's certainly not much difference between 100 & 800.

I intend to try iso 12600 at some time, but I was well impressed with iso 8000.

Now with the K5 I did a test in Truro Cathedral the other week at 8000 and was very impressed, would certainly go to that setting again.
