I generally stay as low as poss, ideally 100 or 200, having had a K10 & K7 I would'nt go above 400 under any circumstances.

Now with the K5 I did a test in Truro Cathedral the other week at 8000 and was very impressed, would certainly go to that setting again.

I had a Sigi 28 - 200 which was OK, but since going to a Sigi 17-70 and a Sigi 70-200 the quality is sooooooooo much better, problem is that it's hit the ££££ fairly hard as well

Cheers

I'd go with the Sigma 70 - 200 F2.8, been using one lots recently, both with a K5 & K7, focuses quickly and excellent IQ.

The F2.8 will allow a bit more light in to aid the focus over the F4 and give you less DOF if you wish to blur the b/g easier, also give you increased shutter speed in poor light over the F4.

Cheers

Hiya, recently had the same problem but with CS4, set the K5 to save as .dng and that'll solve the problem.

I find the grip adds to the balance of both the K5 & the K7, the release in portrait mode is useful and the additional battery and spare card slot adds to the usefulness.

Yes the cheapo's are about a 5th of the price, but the feedback on here, I've just got a K5 with a BG4 from SRS at a very good deal.

FWIW, I've recently aquired some F2.8 lenses and there superb for portraits and throwing the b/g OOF wide open, plus there great for low light work as well.

They are a good way of looking at images that usually stay on the pc, I've mounted mine on the wall and when listening to music will put the screen on instead of the tv,

I update the images fairly often adding recent shots etc.

I've used Inov8 on K10D's and K7 for several years with no problems.

[quote:3496ace15f="coker] The location helps but the capture of this phenomenon is great![/quote]In the right place / use, this lens is great fun to use, I've one and given that it's not over used it's brillant !
