I love the extreme wide angles, I startd with a Sigi 10-17 then moved to a Pentax DA 10-17 cos of the extra field of view, 180 deg.

Its not a lens that's used weekly or even monthly, but its great for some really unusual shots. I shot the image below at a bird of prey day in Gloucester a couple of years ago.

I found the best way with an Eyefi card is to set the camera up to shoot Raw+, and to set the jpeg to the smallest available quality, they ping to my tablet within 3-5 seconds of shooting

Only sent the jpeg, you can tell the Eyefi to ignore the Raws on the card

I'd run with the netbook as well, use one regularly over a 2 week stint away from home, just download the raws to the hard drive, take out any immediate duffs.

You'll need something like this to trigger the lights, plug one receiver into one of the Bowens and the transmitter sits on the camera.

Its worth using the other 2 in any more of the Bowens to ensure they all trigger although they should work from the flash of the first one. As a first timer, these arn't Pocket Wizard quality or Price, but they do work well in a studio setup.

Hmmmm...... an odd one, but I have to agree with you, just tried my 360 with the Trigmaster 11's and have the same situation, I mainly use either of 2 different Metz units in manual mode with these triggers and they work every time.

I've used Clifton camera's very often and always found them really good

Hi Dave, as prev stated, I use a L308s on my lighting setups, you can do it by the histogram, but it is easier with a meter and more professional imo.

I tend to use a 4 light setup with a white BG and 2 lights with a black BG, and prefer to set the lights 1.5 stops higher on the BG than the main and set the fill to 33% - 60% of the main.

This takes less than 5 minutes and would be tricky as either guesswork or to do via the histogram.

A new L308s is around £130 these days and you may be able to pick up a prev owned one on fleabay for less.
