Macro

Hi All
Have a K-r with a Sigma 5mm Macro lens , been trying to do some macro shots indoors but struggling big time , have a tripod but cannot light the subject to focus the camera [lens is manual], just wondered if anyone had any thing that might help ie led ring or some type of lighting, or any diy items they made that would help
NOT LOOKING FOR A "FREEBIE" just help , anything considered and will pay all costs and P@P, hopefully there is set up thats not being used out there somewhere, Thanks for looking Regards Terry [79yrs] PLYMOUTH

Have you tried a Torch ?

Assume you mean a 50mm Sigma macro? Any light source will do just for the purpose of focusing. I am older than you and generally do not have a problem with manual lenses - as long as I focus at maximum aperture. Mind you, if you cannot see to focus, you will probably need a flash for your actual shots. A ringflash is ideal.

A torch is you best bet, or a table lamp maybe, but I use a little led torch most of the time Mate.

For stationary subjects I use an led lamp on a flexible arm, on a clipping base. Sold as a reading lamp for Kindles, etc., I found it most useful for putting light where you want it.
Only for focussing, though!
