With two slots and usb 3 will there be any need to open the card door?
At airshows, for sure.

The problem I have with the K-5 card door is that there's no room to get the fingers in to remove the card.
I find my Eye-Fi card is a pretty tight fit, but if I release the catch by pushing the card in, if I then 'ping' my fingernail off the edge of the card, the spring then fires the card out far enough to let me get hold of it. I do have fairly small fingers, though.

I didn't like the SD Card door at first on the K-5 but soon got used to it
It's perfectly easy to use, but that's the problem - anything you catch it on, like a snug-fitting bag, is likely to open the card door.

The K10D design was a lot more secure. They kept it for the battery, why not for the card? It's a bit cheaper to manufacture, I expect, without the key, but much inferior IMO.

I use an Eye-Fi card most of the time, so I don't have to open the card door very often. But if I was forever opening it and closing it, I bet it would wear and become looser over time.

Does that correspond with others' experience?

Yes, I guess it's a case of 'be careful what you wish for'.
I like Kai, I can't wait for his, ahem, "review"
Came across this one of his...

Apols if it's old news to many, but I've been out of it all for quite a while.

But given that the K-3 hopefully won't be any worse than the K-5IIs, I'm a little more optimistic.

I reckon you would still shave the best part of £100 off the UK price.
Is it really worth it?

Personally I'd have to save a lot more than that to forego the security of buying from a trusted UK retailer.

Just out of interest, I can see that the silver ones would look nice with the silver lenses... but don't they look a bit funny with the ordinary black lenses?
I only really want silver so my FA* 250-600mm doesn't look out of place
You can go off people, you know

A mono version would work so much better...

If you still want to price cream then you risk disgruntlement from your existing client base as prices will surely have to drop more quickly than usual.
What was the gap between the D7000 and the D7100? Two years? It's nowhere near replacement time yet, so the K-3 will have to become competitive with that quite quickly I'd have thought.
