I enjoy macro shooting and think a proper flash may be usefull but would a macro ring flash be a better option?

I have the best of both worlds for that - I have a 360 and a ringflash adapter for the 360 (called an Orbis). Makes macro shots a breeze - and portraits something special.

My last 2 macro shots on flickr are taken with the Orbis - the clematis flower & rose (though unfortunately not with my K20).

I also use a 3rd party (Metz) flash which works just as well as the 360 but was 80GBP cheaper.

HSM works on K10D - but IIRC body needs updating to v1.3 firmware - which is pretty easy to do.

You are right in bringing that up - I was worried that Sigma had a policy of 4/3 being the 'extra non-Canon/Nikon/Sony' mount.

That, at the moment is the killer for me - a decent long (105mm+) HSM/SDM 1:1 macro lens for Pentax. Especially one that doesn't concertina out like some demon drainpipe. I have a lovely 45mm Leica Elmarit Macro lens for my GF-1 that I use in preference to the 50mm coffee grinder for my K20. So much so that (sob) my DSLR isn't getting much use while flowers and insects abound.

Any info on which 67 it is? 67, 67II, 67 with MLU, with broom handle, etc etc?

Odd - the ordering one was OK - not a circle but not crossing - I pass the Ishihara relatively easily. But, 2 years ago I did the Beeb cameraman test and got 17% - "almost insanely colour-blind don't apply for a job here". It's an ordering test as well.

Hmm.

That worked - I did it by using the Grab the HTML and selecting only the jpg link from the flickr farm (the bit that is http://farmX.static.flickr.com/XXXXXXXX.jpg) and putting that in the img markup necessary for this post.

It would be better if the PU posting mechanism let you put in real HTML instead of disabled pseudo-markup.

Yes, you should have a 'Share This' button which gives a menu. In it is a Grab the HTML and Grab the Link item. Use those.
