Yes, you should have a 'Share This' button which gives a menu. In it is a Grab the HTML and Grab the Link item. Use those.

Hmm.

That worked - I did it by using the Grab the HTML and selecting only the jpg link from the flickr farm (the bit that is http://farmX.static.flickr.com/XXXXXXXX.jpg) and putting that in the img markup necessary for this post.
It would be better if the PU posting mechanism let you put in real HTML instead of disabled pseudo-markup.

So to recap:
click the Image button in your forum post.
on your flickr page
click "Share this".
click "Grab the HTML".
select and copy only the jpg link from the flickr farm (the bit that is http://farmX.static.flickr.com/XXXXXXXX.jpg)
paste between the IMG tags in your forum post.
