Having used both the K5 and the K30 my money is on the K5. It just functions that bit better so I think your choice is wise. Nothing wrong with the K30 as a second body though. It does give similar results.

David, I think you have a valid point. A great lesson can also be learned by hanging a manual lens on the front of a DSLR. It makes you think about why you do what you do and of course unlike the days of film the results and therefore adjustments are instant and virtually free.

Me too, updated it as soon as it came out of the box. There is a consensus of opinion that sometimes the manufacturer puts in other items that are not always pointed out. Anyway I believe that they would know best.

Dave I have the body which is 60 but a mental age of about 10. LOL Well especially when the twins are round ours and they are 7.

Thanks for that info gents. Dave, that`s well interesting. I e mailed Harrow Technical and they can sort it for £56. I know the history of the ME so I might bite the bullet.

I`ve been given an ME Super with the electrics not working. I tried new cells but still no joy.
Just wondered if anyone has any experience and wonder if it`s worth fixing. Everything else seems good and it`s very tidy.

I had one of the original K10`s which is pretty much the same as the GX10.
If you test drove a car 10 years ago and repeated the drive again in a new model the difference would amaze. Same with a K30 over a GX10.
I would suggest the WR lenses though if you use it in warm damp atmospheres.
