Hi Amin, Sorry you got grief, the woodentops were doing what they get our taxes for. Bet they wouldn`t stop the woman walking her dog even if it messed on the path. More of a danger to young children than doggie walkers understand.

Hi Stefan, thank you very much for your help. Yes it is the one in your picture. I tried it today in seriously bright sunlight and absolutely nothing happened.

Stefan, I have wiped the contacts. It works with my Tamron 28-300. Seems a little odd that with the DA 300 nothing happens.

Hi Amin, the 2 x Kenko has the contacts for SDM plus the drive for camera drive AF. I had rather hoped not to buy another TC. It`s a Kenko DG Pz-AF 2X TELEPLUS MC7. Which is I believe tamron in any other name. So Failing this I guess I need to look for the Pentax TC.

Has anyone used a TC with this lens. Stefan passed a comment in the post asking which 5 lenses would you have. I tried the lens with my Kenko 2 x TC (it has the contacts) but could only be used with manual focus. Would be nice to be able to use AF. Used on K10D.

Nathan, I totally support what you are saying. I had an ME Super for 20 odd years and I could get super pictures from it. The rubber inside turned to gloop so I bought a K10D. Quite honestly I was dissapointed with the results until I read the manual again and again and tweaked the settings. I guess I am from an era when it was not expected to have to tweak but things are different now. If it goes pear shaped you can always set back to the default settings.

Welcome Tim, this is a great place to be. Trains are great through the lens, getting a few Pentax owners in East Anglia now.
