These appear to be end of line as I believe the bags are now sold as Manfrotto.

Fraction too small for me otherwise I'd have been tempted.

Thanks all for your comments, it was a good day out.

An excellent set George. I'm glad you filled in time before the race came through with some off-event shots to make a proper documentary of the day and also changed your position to give variety of view points.
David.

David, you may have misunderstood. I was in the same position throughout, high up opposite the sharp left bend but able to look down the hill as the cyclists approached. I got there around 9.30, by 10.00 these prime spots were pretty full and the bikes didn't come through till around 12.45pm !

Nice set, did you have a filter on for these? if so what do you use?

For these I didnt use a filter (although I have since started to use them), all shot in raw and underexposed with shadows recovered in lightroom. Added graduated filters in lightroom as well.

No 7 appeals to me the most - great composition and the lighting on the sheep makes it for me.

My wife and I got hold of some midge headnets (not mosquito - mesh is too large) for Scotland. You look a bit silly in them, but you don't care about that when the midges are out in force!!

No 7 is possibly my favorite as well, shame there a bit of sun flare on it though. Could have done with the midge headnet the other day, it was like the dinner bell had been rung as I got there !

Had a quick gander at mine and it reminded me how many I've gathered over the years -

Sigma 105 Macro (for sale in classifieds)
Pentax 100 Macro
Sigma 150-500
Sigma 100-300 F4
Sigma 24-70 F2.8
Sigma 85 F1.4
Sigma 70-200 F2.8

Pentax 28 F3.5

Plus I believe the DA* 300 and DA* 55 are also compatible.

If its a mega pixel monster though it would have to be something special to tempt me (as well as the price), I would prefer something along the lines of the
nikon D750 pixel wise.

Nice set, No 2 is my favorite but I'd have been very happy to have taken any of these.

I actually went to Burbage this morning to try out a new 10 stop filter but within seconds there were hundreds of midges buzzing round me so I gave this up, went home and had a look through some pictures I'd taken earlier this year with a fresh eye.

No 1

No 2

No 3

No 4

No 5

No 6 (something about this I like)

No 7

C&C welcome, only just started to get a bit more into taking landscapes.

Went to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park with Trixie last week. Lots of people about so timing was key to getting a shot with minimal arms/legs photobombing
your shot !
