K-01 paid for, others still available.

Let's drop the 40mm to £180. I think it's a bargain at that...

Price adjustments:

- 28/3.5 now £50
- 135/3.5 now £50
- 40mm limited now £200 (and this is absolutely stunning, the rendering is awesome, I want this to shift quickly before I decide to keep it...)
- the K-01 I'll drop to £120. A charger is £30 and I don't need another body. My daughter's decided she prefers the K5.

Hi,

I have some gear surplus to requirements. As follows:

Body:

Pentax K-01 in black / silver. Great condition. Just under 2900 actuations. No charger, includes battery. I've got two chargers from a K3 and K5, so... same battery as K5/K3. Excellent video capabilities, especially with focus peaking on.

£150 / €185 shipped

Lenses:

Pentax SMC-M 28/3.5 Nice condition, no brassing, no marks on the glass, no fungus. Minor ding on the filter ring which doesn't affect the ability to use 49mm filters. 49mm Izumar UV filter included.

Exceedingly sharp, lovely for video. Mildly slow aperture blades, no oil.

£60 / €75 shipped

Pentax SMC-M 135/3.5 Nice condition, no brassing, no marks on the glass, no fungus. Simply not used enough. Nice and sharp, great for video. Push-in hood.

£60 / €75 shipped

Pentax 40mm Limited. Excellent condition. No marks on the glass, no fungus. Includes hood and both caps.

£210 / €260

Bags:

I will bring these to the UK with me on 21st September.

Lowepro Fastpack 200. Black. Has enough space for a 70-200 + body with 17-50, 50mm and then a flash. Up top is another 10l of "personal gear" space.

Great bag, just way too small for me these days. Front pocket fits Cokin P sized filters beautifully.

£40 / €50 shipped

Lowepro Stealth Reporter 650AW. Enough space for an awful lot of gear; Laptop, 100-300/4, 70-200/2.8, two bodies, two flashes and then another 2-3 smaller lenses... and that's without loading the front, which tends to take my power supply, an external disk, audio recorder etc.
Mild paint loss on the shoulder strap anchors, that's it. Great bag, this is better than a rucksack for winter and similar, as you can leave it on the sled. S&F loops on the side if you need even more space. Has an AW cover stashed in the base.
I'm only selling because I travel too much at the moment and I have all the gear stashed in a carry-on-size rucksack, so this is lying around doing nothing.
New price is around £140-160.

£100 / €125 shipped

Shipping is in all cases from the UK, pickup may be possible.

Bank transfer preferred, Paypal possible. Euro pricing multiply by €1.25.

Send me a PM if you're interested!

Thanks!

US prices for K5IIs are around $700 and the K3 is being pushed with FLUcard, Grip and 540 flash for $1300 / €900 or so... so I'd agree, there will probably be another drop at some point. K5 II looks silly-expensive in the UK.

I'm also wondering just how much of this is Pentax / Ricoh's doing and not necessarily that of the dealer, with enforced internet pricing...

I much preferred the silver K5 to the original simply because the grip was better. There's no observation on that this time around, which is probably a good thing. Adding a different finish and a new strap for a premium is a bit cynical if you ask me, though I have heard that sales of interchangeable lens cameras are on their way down.

BTW: bitdefender? Isn't that just AV software?

you have no idea how much effort it took to a) get the ticket and b) get us there. We were out all day (!); three hours at the first stage, then another hour to get to the next, then treks and stuff... man, it was hard. Thank goodness the little monkey enjoyed it

Anyways. It's an example I'm quite happy with

I'd definitely go for a section of road where they're coming towards you and I'd argue for 1/500@f10 or so. Prefocus, too.

This is from Rally Finland on a monopod with 100-300...I found panning from the side virtually impossible.

haven't you shot these in RAW? If not, why not? Would be easy to calm down there....
