In another thread you said you only managed to 'bag' one of these. How come Dixons allowed you to buy more? I'm curious

I suspect it depends on whether you are using their 'back up' software program or simply using it as additional capacity. If it is what I think , then don't use their backup program and simply open it in windows explorer and drag and drop files from your pc onto it

I bought a GX-20 and kit lens today from Dixons Heathrow. At £305 it is now a brilliant 'entry level' kit to teach my daughter photography and use my old lenses - works out cheaper than a Km

I just bought a 500GB LG external HDD for £75 since I am travelling for a week. It's hardly bigger than an iPod classic. Brilliant!

Gwyn posted this in another thread, and it may be worth upgrading your firmware to eliminate some potential causes of problems:

For a compact I bought an Olympus P&S waterproof model a couple of years agoi and it is brilliant. Took great sgots in the sea of my kids and got pictures you couldn't get without a waterprof camera playing in the waves.

Now many more manufacturers including Pentax do them. IMHO rather than mess around with an Aquapac, just buy a waterproof P&S
