A very nice set! Number two is my immediate favourite image.

The Pentax 17 seems like a very interesting camera. Even though I have enough Pentax film cameras to last me a lifetime, I probably will purchase the Pentax 17 eventually. Maybe the most appealing aspect of the Pentax 17 would be to be able to purchase a brand new camera with a warranty. No dust or mould in the viewfinder. No rotten light seals. No unrepairable electronics.

Intriguing image. Inspiring to see some adventurous techniques and editing.

An interesting set. I do like number 5 and 6 the most, probably due to them being non figurative and abstract. Very nice colours in the last image.

The first one is definitely the one I'd hang on my wall because it's both attractive and restful. But the 3rd is my favourite because I'm attracted to structure of all sorts and this is almost pure structure - there's beauty there in the same way that light reflecting from chaotically wavy water can be beautiful. I feel that I ought to like the 2nd but can't. Perhaps it's because the tree doesn't stand out enough from the background, a shaft of sunlight illuminating just the tree would make all the difference. But clouds and sun will do their own thing - and of course that is usually not what the photographer wants...

Thank you Steve! It is always interesting to learn how other people respond to ones photos. The third photo, Velvia 50 birch against blue sky, was an attempt to make some kind of abstraction, I was imagining abstract painting, something similar to Jackson Pollock, which I like a lot. Image number 2 is too dark, it makes more sense if lightened a wee bit. I include a slightly revised version below.

Some recent shots taken with the Pentax 67ii and SMC 67 105mm f2.4 lens. The first two shots Kodak Porta 800, the third Fujifilm Velvia 50. Scanned on a Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro. Images captured and digitized with stoneage technology!
