How do folks rate using old Zenit lenses and teleconvertors on the K10D. I have the chance of some reasonably cheaply and I'm assuming they are all K fit but have to still confirm this 100%.

on the custom white balance with a white card. In a concert it won't be any good as the light on stage varies too much and the light infront of you will be very different to the stage. I have just used AWB shooting in RAW at a gig and altered after if need be.Hi All

hi saw that too in another thread about the contacts but once that is right you're fine, which i am hoping is the case on the K10D as I just got my brother to pick up the self same flash from Jessops in Birmingham. Now I have to wait until June to get it!

Park also do the Samsung GX-10 (same as K10D) for £300 although currently it says out of stock on the site. My sis-in-law got one and its pretty well the same as my k10d, menus differ a bit but thats it.

nice to see Ripon Cathedral in there too. Incidentally some of the criticisms of Blurb have been the black background not being perfect so see how yours comes out.
If anyone wants to see the wedding book I did let me know on here, my neice probably wouldn't mind me having it publicly visible, and the wedding was child free also.

I did a wedding book last year for my pics of my neices wedding using Blurb. I went into it with eyes open as I'd read the quality was not top notch and pictures can be darker sometimes. That said I was very happy with the result. It took me a while to put it all together but it was worth it to see how happy she was. I did a hard back book with a shiny wrap around cover as the printed on cover had not so good reviews. I liked the standard wedding background they already provided so used that and the various ways of presenting each page gave lots of flexibility. The full bleed pages were good. I had a panorama that I split and put in a double page. For what you pay even now the pound is weaker blurb are very good value for folks like me, but if I was a professional wedding photographer I'd probably not use them as the quality is not perfect. I would use them again for family and friends gifts though.

This really is a superb forum. Helpful and supportive people all round. Ask away and use the search to find other posts to get your answers.
By the way I didn't use manual mode for at least 5 months owning the camera, whilst I got more familiar with it.
But that said some very useful pointers on here helped me.
Press Green button and camera sets the shutter/aperture combination. Want to adjust either of them and keep the exposure, press the * button then adjust. Want to change the ISO? Hold down the OK and roll away. If the light changes do the same again. Feel free to PM me, I'm no expert but like you I think the K10D is a cracking camera and you will see some results on my flickr link in my signature.
