Yes get the original Q with the 01 lens if you can find it at a discounted price . Its well built, intuitive to use, very portable. I have an adaptor for other lenses but not sure its needed as portability/small size is optimal with 01 lens.

I might be wrong but I thought people doing these long astronomical exposures turned the noise reduction exposure to off.

I took 40 photos at a birthday party on Saturday. No issue at all with moire.Images are sharper.Cheers

Just picked up a K5iis. Noted the firmware is v1.0. I presume a different series to the K5 which is at v1.13.
Any thoughts anyone?

Just found out that the Q can be fired at 1/2000 sec using the 01 lens and onboard flash! Suppose everyone else already knew that! Cheers

I currently have two batteries for my K5. One original and one generic, very similar to many on ebay. Recently I found the generic would not hold its charge for more than a few photos before showing part discharged on the top indicator. The generic is more than one year old.
I wondered if the indicator was accurately showing the battery condition, so I experimented. About 4 hi-speed sequences were taken. 4x 24 frames, which is point at which the buffer filled. Indicator showed battery fully discharged. Turned camera off, then back on. Indicator shows battery is fully charged and this hasn't yet changed.
I wonder if I overcharged battery and somehow it couldn't show correct charge? Anyone had a similar experience?
