Anyone gone from K-5 to K-5II?
Cheers

I really can't imagine it would be worth you upgrading from the K-5. Unless being able to AF in near darkness is really, really important. Even then, doesn't the green assist lamp help out?
I had been intending to go for the K-5 classic until SRS's £100 px bonus made the II only £90 more, which I thought made choosing the II worthwhile for resale value if nothing else.
Incidentally, I couldn't bring myself to pay another £180 more on top of the II for the IIS, bearing in mind:
a) it's only £60 more in the US,
b) When I look at sample images I have to really pixel peep to see any differences,
c) I don't remember anyone complaining about the classic K-5 being soft before the filterless S was announced.
But I can see that going from a K-5 to K-5 IIS might just be an interesting proposition for someone itching for a new body.
However I can't see the worth in going from a K-5 to a straight II.
Don't use it though it's worth more unused..

Although it is hard to pin down (and it could just be wishful thinking) my K-5IIs seems to perform better than my old K-5 apart from the advertised improved low light AF etc. It makes me think like the unannounced firmware tweaks there may have been improvements in the mark II that they haven’t announced for whatever reason.
Does that mean I got the go ahead?
I mentioned the upgrade to the missus and she did not bat an eye.
Does that mean I got the go ahead?
Sure does, your also allowed some new glass for it
Is e extra battery another pentax or OEM. Brand?
The thought of a new body with two year warranty makes it worth whilst for me to do...

From what has been posted on the net, the K5iis image samples look impressive, but I would like to demo one before I parted with any money.
The K5 is currently meeting my needs, but I guess I may change my mind at some point.
I'm not in the slightest bit tempted to upgrade. The K5 is so good that I think it is better to skip a generation or three.
That leaves the better AF at low light.I can't justify the outlay just for that

I suppose just the fact I am getting a brand new camera with free battery and 2 years warranty makes it worthwhile but I haven't read anything feature wise to get me really interested.(such as 7D af performance)
