hi matt
i basically wanted to take outdoor portraits in sunny conditions with a large aperture. wanted to mount the flashgun on a stand in a softball close to my model, therefore under exposing the harsh sunlight and achieving a shallow depth of field.
many thanks

AFAIK there aren't any

High speed flash requires the flashgun to issue rapid bursts of light as the shutter curtain moves across the frame. The only way to do HSS mode wirelessly is with two AF360/AF540 combination flashguns. Mount one on the camera and use it as a master or controller (master = contributes to the lighting, controller = signalling only).

Can I ask what you're trying to accomplish?
(This may not be you, but many who ask for higher flash sync speeds ask in error )

hi all, i received a pentax af160fc flash for christmas. 5 mins after i opened it, one of the tubes exploded and had to return it. another was issued in exchange and earlier today i connected it to my camera and it wouldn't fire. i spoke to SRS microsystems and explained the issues. i now want a refund as i have totally lost confidence in it. can anyone recommend an ideal replacement? the wireless metz 15 ms-1 perhaps? or does nothing compare? i see the huge advantage in the metz for its size, easy to carry arounf where as the af160fc is very bulky.
please give me your opinions

thank you bal sembi

You may well get colour casts with the cheaper filters, you do get what you pay for.

Maybe eBay would be an alternative. You might pick up better filters for less money, albeit they will be used.

hi all, i was thinking about getting a variable ND filter but my budget doesn't allow for the expensive brands.
can anyone recommend a cheaper version? and are they any good in comparison to the dear ones?
I'm after a 62mm which I will use for smaller lens using step down adapters.

many thanks

hi all, I was interested in doing some shots using the trailing curtain mode on my K3.
I have 2 YONGNUO 560-III flash guns and have now realised they are not compatible for the trailing curtain mode.
shame really....
can anyone recommend a similar flash (similar budget and power) to support this mode?
its all new to me....I wanted to photograph cars with light trails etc.

many thanks

hi all,
im interested in doing some shots using the trailing curtain mode on my K3 using a YONGNUO YN560-III flash gun. when I set the K3 into trailing curtain mode, the flash still fires (despite the shutter speed) when the shutter opens and closes.
I want it to just fire when the shutter is about to close.
ive tried everything but no luck. what am I doing wrong???

many thanks

bal
