Thanks Matt, I am putting money away for Photoshop. When I have enough CS3 should be out.
Just FYI, once you've bought a full version of Photoshop, upgrades are only a couple of hundred bucks (US). Once they have you, they want to keep you in the family!

Each license allows you to use it on one desktop and one laptop (in reality, two computers) but you cant use them at the the same time (as a friend of mine found out when he tried to have both up at the same time on a pair of networked computers).

Why do models these days all seem to look hostile? Is it something about our culture?

If they still built cameras like the old MX, you'd get lots. I was running through a hospital corridor to cover something unpleasant, when my MX cameras (which were swinging around my neck) whacked the concrete walls.

After it was all over, the only damage was a dent in the top on one of the prism housings. Cost me twenty-five bucks to get it fixed.

Don't try that with a modern camera!!

Pentax rates the K10D at 100,000 shutter cycles, like most professional DSLR's. In reality, you could probably get a lot more.

Actually, Adobe Camera Raw will display lens data in the File Info tab.

I suggest the Pocket Wizards to trigger the flash. Much less dangerous than a tangle of cords all over the floor!

The ad refers to the M42 adapter, which can be had for pretty much any camera mount these days. You even need one to use an M42 lens on a Pentax K-mount camera.

M42 was the screw-mount, Contax, Pentax, and Zeiss all produced lenses in that mount.

There are several languages used on this forum that I can understand.

I speak fluent American and Canadian, and slip into English sometimes.

My Australian is not as good as my other languages.

I don't really know much about Indian English, but I can mostly understand it.

SO - which language do you feel needs to be the standard?

Sharpening is always the LAST step before delivery or printing of the file. Do ALL your adjustments first, and do NOT archive a sharpened copy.

Sharpening is playing with edge contrast. Carried too far, it causes artifacts.

I have the Epson 2450 too. Sad to hear that it won't work in Vista, which is a surprise. I guess I'll be keeping an XP machine after all.
Since your post, Epson has released a Vista driver for the 2450. It is just a basic driver, but it functions.

Get it off the Epson Web site. It's there now.
