I'm not sure what voltage they can take, but the Yongnuo RF-602 remotes costing about 20 quid a set are absolutely brilliant. They can also be used the other way around to trigger the camera remotely and they are the best remote I've ever had.

I bought 2 sets so that I can fire the camera from up to 100m away and it also triggers the flash. Just set them to 2 different channels.Very high build quality.

A slight problem with Pentax (may have been fixed since) is that the flash sync has to be 1/125th to get the full frame. I did read of some people buying the Nikon version and using it on a Pentax at 1/180th. Very small problem anyway.

I got mine from "cam.plus" on ebay, but they are out of stock at present and they are labeled HAVE not Yongnuo same thing though.

This dealer has them for £20.49 and has a good picture showing all the leads and batteries that are included.

There used to be quite a similar strap on sale in the UK that
screwed into the tripod socket under the camera. Quite good
until it unscrewed itself

I've looked at the photos. Unfortunately there's not enough info on the web generally about this lens for me to take my interest any further. I already have the Vivitar 200mm f/3.5 and they are probably very similar.

With Eye-Fi you start seeing the file as it's downloading, the same way as you do on the internet, appears from top to bottom and takes about 5 secs for the full file. So you can see something 1 or 2 secs later..... not live though.

If your bothered about the problem of looking down into the camera viewfinder you would be better with a Right Angle Finder such as the Seagull one. SH Pentax one's are over £100 but much better quality.

Yes K20D and the first thing I did was format in camera. After
the first problem I formatted it with the official SDFormatter
v2.9.0.5 with FULL Format and byte by byte Erase.

Strange thing with the files I couldn't copy was that Scandisk
on XPPro SP3 found nothing wrong. Another PC with Win 7 found
the files damaged and tried to repair them without success.

I'll send an email to Memorybytes and see what they say.

ATP ProMax SDHC Class 6 are currently the fastest cards, but
we can't buy them in the UK.

That sounds like the USB problem. I found it was solved by going
through a Belkin F5U231 4 way Hub. Strange thing was that it
didn't need the power supply connected?. Possibly drew power
off the PC or it's just a plain connection problem on the
PC USB card not mating 100% with the Pentax lead. Going through
a hub gives you a bit more badly needed distance anyway.

The Eye-Fi card is a lot quicker than the RA software.
It probably takes 5-10secs per jpeg to transfer over. You
can also transfer the card to another camera mid session
and it handles the file name diff. without any problems.

Class 10 is only 10MB/s so no big deal.

I certainly wouldn't recommend Transcend Class 10 SDHC 8GB to
anybody. I've recently bought one and my first problem was that
all the image files couldn't be copied to the HD. So I reformatted
in camera and used the card again. I was looking at some of the
Jpegs on the card and suspected that the viewer I was using was
showing me the embedded RAW Jpeg instead of the separate file.
So I made a directory on the card called RAWS and moved the 150 or
so files over 50 at a time. Later on another computer I was copying
all the files over to HD and there weren't any files in the RAWS
dir. after copying the Jpegs to the HD I deleted them OK off
the card, but when I tried to delete the RAWS dir it said
"access denied" Image Rescue 3 couldn't find anything so I
re-formatted and checked the card with Image Rescue 3 and it
found nothing wrong.

I used the card again in the camera and took about 100 shots,
but the 6 most important one's weren't there when I looked at
the card.

It also fails trying to copy 200mb files between two computers.

Now I have to decide on either binning it or trying to return
it to Memorybits without the packaging or receipt or possibly
claim off Paypal (it was bought with a discount off their offers page.

I had the card in, which I would think is the best way
although it does work without it. You could also try
going through a USB Hub. It's a fairly common problem
with PC's (on the later version of RA) because they have
varying USB hardware and sometimes RA won't work unless
it's through a hub.This is usually the case if you can
take one or two pics and then no more without closing
and opening RA. I wouldn't expect this problem from a
Mac though because they all have the same USB hardware.

An alternative would be an Eye-Fi Card, but you lose
control from the computer and time-lapse although you
could get a Chinese timer for that. You gain in not
having to use a lead and being able to use Jpegs.
Costs about 50 quid.
