I met him once in the late 70's brilliant man with a way of looking at life in a way very similar to the way I do. Sad to see him go, although he mostly gave up photography when he burnt all his prints and negatives.

Everyone should see the recent BBC4 documentary film about him.

In the film he gets asked ... Seeing the high price that photographs sell for these days aren't you sorry that you burnt most of yours.... to which he replied.... "No".... That tells you a lot about the man.

Looking at (and they should know...) they have their own brand (naturally...) of compressed air for 35mm/SS-16 use, but have the Artic Butterfly for the Red-One (an over-hyped digital movie camera)
I see they also have Brillo Pads Mind boggles

I would imagine the glass cleaner they sell to be quite good.

Unipart used to do a really good glass cleaner.... never found anything like it since.

Last sales where at 9.43pm last night.

I've received Feedback from them for the 3 small items I bought (photo frame, CF Card, small case) so I expect they are in the post

They are still getting a lot of feedback coming their way.

Somebody got a Canon 450D with Kit Lens ex display for £110 inc perfect box and contents

You have to make allowances for who your dealing with They could have sold all this stuff for the same prices in the shops instead of going through this expensive exercise. It seems when the clear stuff in the shops even though the packagings tatty, they expect people to buy with a 5% discount

Supposed to be quite good but CZJ lenses are overpriced nowdays
and 35-70mm zooms are often as good.

Some Russian lenses such as the Jupiter 135's (11A and 37A)
are absolute crackers and still available for about £20

I suppose they could have just sold out but it still seems very dubious to me - why would anyone give K7s away when they go for £700 new?
They probably put the COST PRICE by mistake?

TechFurb = TechGuys makes sense.... up to usual standard

I tried buying a telly online the other day from Cu**y* with the 5% disc. code and it dissapeared so I went down to the shop and they had 7 in but couldn't accept the disc. code, so I left it. The telly still isn't re-listed on the website so I'm trying to order one from J. Lewis but that's also looking impossible. They sent me an email with the header "Your product has come back in stock" which won't pass a spam filter. Had a big long line to click on that had spaces in it and therefore didn't work. The webpage still shows out stock and the telephone people can't take the order I'll try M&S next.... very difficult to buy stuff in this country

Hi,

As seen on DPForums

A subsidiary of Jessops is selling K7s for nothing, but they will not accept my order from outside the UK.

Something Fishy there. I tried but it said the seller was on Holiday and not accepting orders. When you click other items for sale you get 0
I'm in the UK although some people wouldn't class Wigan as the UK

Someone on the US forum is using Eye-fi on a K-x to upload videos.

The site I gave above also has a program that will watch for new image files and show them with a histogram which is useful if you are using the Eye-Fi to set up live shots. Eye-fi's own viewer is small. I've not used Imagewatcher so I don't know what size the screen Image is. Most viewers will watch for files as well.

Edit: It says it's a full screen picture. I'll try it later.

Do you (or anyone) know if an Eye-Fi card will work with a Pentax ist DS?
For transfer from camera to computer screen I've tried about 50 shots on my *ist DS with the 4gb Home Video card and there are no problems that I can see. They don't list the *ist DS but that may be due to minor problems such as uploads to say Flickr which needs the SHARE card anyway or geotagging which is another card.

This is quite a good site for info (bit out of date).

They don't list any Pentax camera's apart from the K-7 and they have only recently added that. They don't actually list many DSLR's but people are using the cards anyway.

All you need is the 4gb Home Video card £50 (or the X2 to transfer RAW Lot Dearer £99) Jacobs have both link

This card also works with Samsung DSLR's which don't have tethered USB software.

Obviously I can't guarantee it will work for you, but I haven't heard of a DSLR that takes SDHC cards in which they don't work.

Interesting thing is that if you go out of range say into the garden, the software finds all the shots you have taken and downloads them when you return.

Probably better to download the latest software from the site rather than what's on the card. Once running it will update itself.
