Thanks, all, for your kind remarks.

This creature holds its head, eyes & antennae quite "tucked-in" to & under, its thorax, so an image showing these would be quite a different view.
In death, its legs all crumple up together & consequently don't show in this picture.

(And, it's frit!)

Roger.
Ah, fair enough. The one I managed to get an almost decent pic of (using my little Lumix) was very much alive. Nifty little mover it was too!

What's happened to its legs/antennae?

I've tried with the bin file inside the DCIM file and I've tried with it outside the DCIM file...neither works.
Doesn't it have to be the only file on the card? At the top level?

Nearly 2 hours to put a wooden potting bench together - it's all very well having power tools but if they are too big to squeeze into the places that need screwing you have to rely on the good old scraped knuckles routine with a manual screwdriver - I'm not built for DIY
Have you considered one of these (or something similar)?
I hadn't Steve - but at that price it's now in my Amazon basket - thanks for the tip
No problem. However, at that price the quality may not be the best - versions are available at prices up to about £40 that look more robust. Well, they would do, wouldn't they?

Lovely shots of one of my favourite places. Some great shots of the Ribblehead viaduct.
Yep.

BTW, is that a Class 66 pulling the train in No 11?

"Ricoh will stop mass-producing cameras and will concentrate on “workshop-like” manufacturing process."

So, going for a place at the Leica/Hasselblad end of the market?

Well, I took a few test shots with the little (and do I mean little - it fits in my jacket's top pocket!) beasty. Shame it doesn't do RAW (or if it does, it's hidden in the weird menu system) 'cause the pics, with a bit of fettling in PSE-11, aren't too bad...

Field Panorama by Steve Higgins, on Flickr
Taken from the corner of the field - a 90 degree panorama, 5 shots stitched in PSE-11. Worked OK except for the slight glitch in the second barrier from the right!

All of 5MP and TINY - Q and stuff added to give a sense of scale. When I saw it, with that cool charging station at SRS, I couldn't resist - well, I've spent hardly anything over the last couple of use on account of that there pandemic. And it is (I think, though no doubt some smarty-boots will let me know if I'm wrong :roll the last Optio compact with a viewfinder.

Some pics will no doubt get posted when I get around to some serious testing.

They're all, repeat all, great. Excellent work. The first two, however, hit the button for me. Again, art, engineering and, as Defragged wrote elsewhere, SOUL. Thanks for this.
Be fun watching most of them drive over a speed bump..
