From a recent trip out into the Yorkshire Dales with cold, but lovely weather, a walk taking in the well-known Ribblehead viaduct and a climb up Whernside, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks. A great day out with K-3 and DA 16-85mm. All comments welcome.

Lovely shots of one of my favourite places. Some great shots of the Ribblehead viaduct.

Yep.

BTW, is that a Class 66 pulling the train in No 11?
SteveH!

Some people call me 'strange'.
I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.

Yes DB Cargo Class 66 with what looks like a train of JNA box wagons (from a career in the rail industry including having been an Engineer designing freight wagons).

Too old and too fat to go climbing now but it's great to see what could have been. These really present a super idea of the isolation and grandeur of it.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Nice stuff, especially the viaduct.

Some lovely images but No. 4 stands out for me. Would look great framed and on the wall.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Always enjoys your sets John - but this set contains a few shots that have that extra bit of something special - 4,5,6 & 12 are just beautiful, simple and classic landscapes, with no.4 being the cream of the crop - the gentle colours, lowish contrast and perfect composition really make it I suspect with a mono conversion could give an equally beautiful image but look completely different

These really speak for much of your photography John (or for what I see in much of it at least): a gentle rendition of contemplative moments in the countryside.
