Don't know what gimp is and am not sure i want to know!
Agree that the foreground is too big and probably too much sky too.
The main part is nice and contrasty
maybe try a letterbox style?

And, if it's OK with you (if not, get the mods to delete it), with a bit of PSE (crop, colorize and selective brightening)...

If it weren't for the two vans, it would look like an hand-coloured antique pic.
SteveH!

Some people call me 'strange'.
I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.

Although I don't use it myself, gimp is an excellent program for image manipulation. https://www.gimp.org. (safe to go to )

I just looked at it and went "EEK !" and legged it out again! Looks totally incomprehensible.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Why is everybody spelling in US English?
There is no such thing as British English, there is English and mistakes.

This made me laugh out loud. I do agree and am smiling as I write this.

Also, and as always with images from loadoftripe, (such an oxymoron for a great photographer), I liked his image. Disagree with him, by the way, regarding too much foreground.
Be well, stay safe, but most of all, invest in memories

Were it not for the fact that several 'Americanisms' in use these days are in fact older English usages which were kept in American-English when English-English changed, you could have a point.

Oh, and I used American spellings in my post because that's how they are spelt in the PSE menus.
