Yeah, I can't see the two different model lines continuing...perhaps the K70 will replace both the K-50 and K-S2...given that its rumoured to have a 24MP sensor...possibly the one from the K-3?

I have to say i'm very underwhelmed by these 'deals'. Most prices now are substantially more expensive
than they have been earlier in the year.

55-300WR Deal price...£249...was £199 a few months ago.

D-FA 100 f2.8 macro Deal Price ...£399...was £249 a few months ago

16-85WR Deal price...£454...was £349 a few months ago.

So no, I won't be falling over myself to get one quick before the offer ends in a few days. On top of this i'm still waiting for cashback from Jul/August last year! Nearly 10 months now without resolution.

I don't like the way Ricoh/Pentax is being run at the moment.

I do enjoy seeing aerial shots of cities and the like. A few years ago flew to the south west of France in a turboprop at about 25000', much more exciting than flying in a jet at 35000'...could make out so much more on the ground.

i'm genuinely perplexed as to your reaction to my post which was nothing more than a fortuitously timed 'grab' from a well known but highly regarded 'rumour site'. I'm often online mid-late evening which appears to be the time that this US based site puts out its latest updates, and I do check for any updated industry news several times a week...especially but not exclusively Pentax related.

Having a competitive streak and noting that no-one else had posted these potentially interesting new product lines I jumped in first...if it wasn't me you'd have woken up to the same news from someone else. I made a judgement about the likely veracity of this information and headlined accordingly...I take nothing back and fully expect both products to reach UK consumers in due course...BUT and here is where we appear to differ,I never intended that my post should deceive anyone nor to be honest did i expect anyone to read it any other way than that.

So, to conclude Algi and in the interests of harmony on the site I apologise if you thought I had intended to deceive you...that was not my intention. Next time i post something similar please don't read into it any more than that.

It's worth going onto the US Pentax forum for the plentiful reviews and many images that actual users have posted there. You can get much feedback on how a particular lens performs with a particular Pentax body.

Its also useful i've found for drawing up a 'wishlist' of suitable targets for purchase whilst also allowing you to make a list of the lemons so that when you are next trawling through hundreds of lenses on Ebay at least you've got some insight as to what to look for and a guide as to whether the price looks reasonable or not.

Algernon,[b][/b the K-70 is on the official Korean Radio Research Agency site...as of yesterday like dozens of other cameras from all the world's major manufacturers...they follow a predictable well worn path to market with markers that some people have taken an interest in following...its possible the numeric moniker might vary from one market to the next but i believe this camera is on the way like the site says it is and will be available to buy probably by Christmas.

100-300 is marked as HD ...so no you can't already buy one of these and if they had no interest in continuing with it then they would have collapsed the patent before the next payment was due.

As to your emboldened text not liking the way i headlined my post...would it have passed your approval system if i had put a question mark at the end like I sometimes do?

One this occasion knowing how easy it would be to get you to bite i left it out...or did i ?
