Great price if you like the silver i agree..I did see this earlier and pondered whether to post it...decided against.

Pentax Main Dealer price is £1599...so essentially that's £396 for a second year warranty which seems a bit steep to me.

By now I would have expected the camera to have been priced with a 2 year warranty for about £1350 or so. It's been around for a while now.

Haven't been very impressed with the Pentax 'Special Offers' this year ...I suspect the biggest discounts will be after Christmas.

Agree with your comment about the silver versions...definitely black...or Olive like my first DSLR ...a K-x...lovely.

Well spotted...very good indeed.

I was actually browsing the US sites to see what kind of deals they were getting compared to us. The 'Bargain of the Day' I highlighted (using their own tagline) seemed very good compared to the usual price...about $1900 saving for them.

I was quite interested in the HD 70-210 f/4...we are still being asked for about £950 for it whilst in the US excluding any state taxes it is about £570 equivalent. Including delivery, VAT and customs charges we could get it from US for about £765 and the £ is weak against the $ at the moment as well.

For those of you brave enough to risk a foreign lens purchase...$1010.74 which is about £821 assuming conversion at £1.23 to US$.

This price apparently is guaranteed to include UK customs and VAT.

I do like the focal length for APS-C...just a shame the OEM Pentax adaptors are so expensive and quite rare.

Manual focus doesn't bother me.

Excellent John...always nice to hear that someone benefits from these 'leads to deals'!

For the very reasonable price of £199

Didn't realise Jessops were still in business.

Fabulous shots those Spad...pleased for you that you managed to retrieve them.

My pleasure...pleased you liked them.

Southport Model Aircraft Club put on a fantastic performance entertaining the crowds before the main airshow started last weekend.

Dare i say that some of their performances were more enthralling than their manned counterparts!

I was close to their tent so had quite a good spot.

Anyway...see what you think.
