Lowest price all year. If only it were black I would jump. What do others reckon about the silver? Personally I think it looks plasticky.
It's sold by Amazon too and not some third party.

Great price if you like the silver i agree..I did see this earlier and pondered whether to post it...decided against.

Pentax Main Dealer price is £1599...so essentially that's £396 for a second year warranty which seems a bit steep to me.

By now I would have expected the camera to have been priced with a 2 year warranty for about £1350 or so. It's been around for a while now.

Haven't been very impressed with the Pentax 'Special Offers' this year ...I suspect the biggest discounts will be after Christmas.

Agree with your comment about the silver versions...definitely black...or Olive like my first DSLR ...a K-x...lovely.

Just checked my silver K3iii. Nope, definitely not platicky. Or at least no more plasticky than the black K3 which is close to it on the camera shelf. And it has the advantage of making it easy to distinguish it from the K3 (original) when reaching for a camera. Mind you, I wasn't keen on silver before I bought one. But having got one, I now realise that it was pure, blind, unreasonable, irrational prejudice. Which I have now overcome and have resolved never again to judge a camera by the colour of its skin.

Out of interest, how much do you notice that the viewfinder is bigger/brighter than say the K3? I am from the era of the ME-Super and I found its viewfinder fabulous. Took it for granted until I got a K20D and was amazed at how much worse viewfinder was. I have then had a K-5 and now have a K3ii. I find the viewfinder poor.

Interesting question. I find the K3iii viewfinder to be a bit brighter then the K3 (original) and a bit larger. Worth having but not earth shattering. An O-ME53 viewfinder magnifier is always on my K3 (original) but I don't feel the need for it on the K3iii. Increasingly, though, the weakest link in the optical path between lens and brain is not the viewfinder but my eyesight...

That offer on the silver seems to have disappeared. Black one now on offer at £1,386.27.

It disappeared when I was purchasing! I finally decided to pull the trigger, so I added it to my basket and chose the five monthly interest-free instalments. I was expecting to pay £240.53. When my phone app said I was being asked to authorise £1202.65 I cancelled the banking authorisation as I assumed I must have done something wrong. I then tried again but Amazon said it was a duplicate order. So I cancelled the order and immediately started again. I made sure I was choosing all the correct payment options and then saw that the price was £1599. This was despite the fact the there were two available when I started and there were two still available. I could understand it if one had sold and then the price shot up for the last one. I webchatted Amazon who's attitude was basically 'tough'.
