The time has come for me (somehow it is always me) to begin the thread.

This Autumn's Whitby Gothic 'Weekend' runs from 31 October to 5 November.

I'm planning to do Saturday 27th as part of a long weekend with my other half.

New faces are always welcome. It's not just a chance to photograph people (obviously only those who wish to be photographed ) but a great chance to catch up, eat fish 'n' chips, drink beer and generally have a good time.

Hope to see you all there!

I will be there as always Gareth - but if it starts on the 31st - that must be a hell of a long weekend you are doing on the 27th

Oops!

I meant I will be there on Saturday 3 November! (hangs head in shame).

I didn't think you had a choice. It's a shame Barry. Won't be the same without you and Margaret.

For Margaret it was a choice between Whitby or New York and Vagas. She is there now.

This press release may be of interest to those attending. Many of the quotes from forums using members names are very familiar to me and are very talented people, but where do you draw the line at getting "the shot".

That is actually quite an old story now. Frankly it's a shoddy piece of journalism written by someone who is quite happy to write what she likes and steal photographs (which I have asked her to remove from her site) but will not present a balanced argument.

Basically, not only does she only speak for herself but seems to think that 'freedom' means she do what she likes but that we cannot do what we want.

Margaret chose Vagas over Whitby?

Well as I've just had a PM from Gareth wondering where I was I thought I'd better make an appearance

I will be at Whitby this year providing my Steampunk Costume is ready but I might not be hanging around with you lot all day as my good lady deserves my company for a change.

Steampunk is so cool

Five weeks to go. Would always be good to see some new faces (and even some old ones).

If anyone is undecided, so come. It's a fun day and Whitby presents lots of non-goth photo ops too.

Funnily enough I bought that album on Friday and yes, it is cool!

I'll see about coming for the day, if I can get a pass from the boss!

I'm afraid I'm already booked to head south that weekend (to Cornwall) so (yet again) I won't be able to make it.

I hope it goes well.

I'm off the weekend of 2nd November so if possible I'll make it up there. Hopefully I'll have my 645N ready to rock and roll
