Sheffield Gang Peak District Trip

I promised to arrange a day out in the Peak District for the Sheffield Pentax Users which is of course open to any forum member to join.

We are pretty well blessed here in the Steel Ccity with such a wealth of scenic landscapes for us to visit that are on our doorstep.

My early thoughts are to look at a day towards the end of January so watch this thread for more details.

Happy in the mean while to have any thoughts or recommendations for the day.

Cheers, Drew aka AndrewA

Hi Drew

A great idea, I will definitely be joining you! I might have another '1 lens' day, probably with the Pentax-M 28mm F3.5.

Cheers

Good idea. I'm in Stalybridge in the western peak but will try to join if dates work. Advantage of January is that sunrise not too early and sunset not too late!

Distance is no obstacle, so I'd love to join you (if other commitments allow).

Living only about half an hour away in Wakefield, I'd be interested and will keep an eye out. The only 2 things that may come in the way would be the 2 Ws - work and wife!

Day towards the end of Jan sounds excellent for this possible interloper from t'wrong side of the Pennines. Any ideas when (will it be a weekend)?

Be good to know so I can try to keep it free

So am I, depending on what day. I'm only in Stockport, so 10 mins from the peak district.
If who is arranging the meet is needing a thought about potential meeting up places (dependent on where in the Peak) I can really recommend the Cafe at Grindleford Station or the Outside Cafe at Calver. Both do excellent Bacon Butties and large mugs of coffee........

Any suggestions for a date :
AndrewA

Hi all, date wise how about either Sunday 20th or Sunday 27th January 2013?

I think once we have a date, we can then pile in with suggestions of where we would like to go shooting, shortlist them and then agree on some meeting places and times (Iain's suggestions are good with the Calver suggestion on a good major road the A623).

What do you think?
