and what have YOU got planned?
As for myself maybe a visit with my five year old to see a steam train and visit the works depot here in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Rep. Other than that just a short walk and maybe a few sunset shots weather permitting.

Dan.

A Beginners Digital Workshop on Saturday morning will keep me busy for a couple of hours.

Many Photoshop users are still rather hazy about the basics, and those new to digital photography certainly are.

The basics for those who don't want to get too involved are in the six beginners articles I did for PU, but of course this develops and changes with time.

One of the problems I see is people starting off with Photoshop CS5 and being totally out of their depth with it. Using it in the wrong way doesn't lead to better images.

What the programme will be will depend upon who attends and what their needs are, but we'll hopefully have a good session.
Best regards, John

Photographically, my weekend will probably involve trying to photograph Short Eared Owls. If I'm really lucky I might grab a Long Eared one too

Moved over to General Chat. Incidentally, according to my iPhone the weather will not be kind this weekend. Prepare those WR lenses....

A Midland Counties Photographic Federation Council Meeting on Saturday.

A Judges Seminar on Sunday.

Not much chance of taking photos, unfortunately. However, I shall be looking at plenty of photos.
Friendly Regards

The weather looks to be good here this weekend (makes a nice change!). Apart from my grandson's 5th birthday party on Sunday we have no plans, just the usual dog walks in the woods and the like.

I shall try and get photos at the party but I never seem to have much success with their birthdays. Merlijn gets his own camera then so it could be interesting to see the world through the eyes of a 5 year old.

You might be surprised. It certainly continually surprises me. I've only just got CS5, thanks to an attractive offer from Amazon.

Yes.

Just as some people go for complicated and expensive cameras, and then use them on auto the whole time there are plenty who fork out on PS CS5 and barely touch the surface. Simply because they have heard it it the program to have.

I have PSE9 and still don't use a fraction of it's capabilities so I can't imagine having CS5 and all the things on that I wouldn't use.

I will be going "bug hunting", to hone my macro skills around my own garden and in the afternoon, probably Cannock Chase to hunt some deer.

If you want to see some impressive bug hunting, have a look at the portfolio of CarolG on ePHOTOzine.

Ok, I'm being super thick here... how do I find a particular photographer's portfolio on EPZ?
