That sounds good Jeff- I guess you have lots of gothic style churches and chathedrals within reach?
I visited Hereford Cathedral on Monday and was told I needed a permit to take anything other than "snaps"- whatever they are.
I am off to Eastnor Castle on Monday (I work every Saturday so for me this is the weekend).

the weekend started today with a great walk in the lake district. Unfortunatley my other half had to work, so i just took the k9 and the K7.
Might try some photos of the local bit of the Leeds Liverpool cnal tomorrow, possibly black and white

After being without a camera for a few weeks, due to an accident, I'm hoping the K-r I've bought from SRS will arrive in time for the weekend!

Will probably spend the weekend polishing the toys in preperation for heading off to Padstow next Friday for a very late summer holiday.
The wife and kids are insisiting on coming with me despite my protestations that they had misunderstood the term 'family holiday' and my assertion that a 'family holiday' was when daddy escaped by himself for a week with his new camera, oh well it was worth a try

No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more

Off to Teddington along the river on Sunday. Will fit the 300mm and try to get some herons nesting in the Weeping Willows.
I keep seeing foxes in broad daylight along the river. I suspect more people are going to be mauled, and then foxes will be declared vermin, and the days of the urban Reynard will be numbered. Sad, but probably inevitable.

Urban foxes seem to be in serious decline hereabouts, hardly see any at all now.
Photographically if the light is crisp I'll continue my project of close ups of the rich Victorian architectural detail in our neighbourhood. Hopefully I can get enough to publish a poster with maybe 20 or so images, 'Pollokshields in Detail'.

Might saunter along the tow path in Teddington, see if I can spot any suspicious characters photographing herons.
