Maxthon - Yet Another Web Browser (for Windows)

Browsing through my tech newsfeeds, I saw that this browser was recently updated. I remember using this browser before Firefox even existed (back then it was called MyIE2), but back then it was just an overlay that used the IE (Microsoft Internet Explorer) engine to render websites. Still better than vanilla IE though.

On the newsfeed, it indicated that this is now running on Webkit, which in my experience equals a fast browsing experience. So I downloaded it, installed, and had a play around. It actually is quite fast (they claim to be 200% faster than Chrome)! Have used it for the last hour on various forums and have found it to be smooth.

In case you are interested in a Chinese made fast browser, instead of Google Chrome, take Maxthon for a spin and do tell your experience with it. Someone might find this very useful.

Firefox is still my main browser because of some core extensions (AdBlock, and Tree Style Tab to name a few). I'm not that too confident in using this browser yet for the main websites I use (email, banking, etc., call me paranoid! LOL).
