Hi everyone i am thinking of making a purchase from SRS .I just wondered if anyone has had any dealings with them .I have been on their site looks good.I just want to be sure before i spend my wod any replies would be gratefully received.

Bought a 16-45mm lens from SRS by mail order, a couple of weeks ago and got quick service and a good price.

Chris even replaced a defective CD (my fault), which I had tried to source through J****s where I bought my camera.

If I were a lady, I'd want Chris from SRS to be the father of my children, he's that good!

I really think we should ask for the forum name to be changed, how about "SRS User"

I also think we should keep away from Linclonshire for a while until Tooks is out of season

I bought my latest lens from SRS - very helpful staff that let me try out different lenses, and actually had the stock. Very good service, very competitive prices.

I bought a K100d from them on the 2nd December. Didnt get free delivery despite saying im a member of this forum. I sent it back after a few days and to be honest it was a nightmare. I paid over £20 special delivery to send it back as i wanted a quick refund. Called a total of 14 times to ask when i will get my refund. They werent very polite, interested and in the end it was a girl called Nikki that shouted in the background whilst serving a customer "tell him its been done this morning". Hardly professional. They also refunded me £1 less than i paid for the camera. Im not going to ring up and waste another 14 calls worth for a £1

Q1-What was wrong with the Camera if anything:.
Q2-What day did you send it back:
Q3-How did you know Nikki was serving in the background:
Q4- 14 calls are you sure: Over how long:

Q1 : Nothing wrong , just too small for my hands. Got a K10d now.
Q2 : I sent it back on last monday and got refund today.
Q3: Because i had spoken to her at least 6 times before and when i asked the chap if my refund had been done he said "hang on ill aske nikki" and i heard him ask her and i heard her shout "im with a customer but tell him its been done"
Q4: Im quite sure it was 14 times, and it was over tuesday, wednesday, thursday and friday so 4 days.

If the people i had been talking to just took some ownership of the call instead of having a "i dont know and dont care" attitude it would have been dealt with within 1 call.


I think i will stick with currys or jessops when it comes to upgrading the body eventually.

matt if it was not faulty most places wont even give you a refund so that pritty good, were you get the k10 and how you finding that.

If there's nothing wrong with a product it's indeed good service to get a refund.

Now the supplier has a second hand camera and has lost quite a bit of money. Did you not buy the K10D from them?
