Ooops,
Sorry I have not been around for some time, (Other hobbies and the aweful weather means I've not seen my K5's in ages), and now Stuey has given me a nudge about this Meet I wont be able to make it as we are on holiday in Mid Wales till 22/4. Hope you all have a great Meet.

Regards.

Hi,

Just checking my understanding for next Saturday..

Are we definitely meeting in Llanberis 08:00-08:30?.

If so, in the car park or Petes Eats? From memory, I think the cafe opens at 08:00.

Just catching up with this after a long work-induced sabbatical from PU

Hope the meet goes really well Stuey et al ... although I was dead keen on a Snowdonia meet I can't now make, but really look forward to seeing the photos

Hi guys

We can either meet in Pete's eats or the car park - the car park will cost but the street near Pete's eats does not so it may be best to meet at Pete's eats and then we take our chances on paying or not paying for parking

I hope to arrive between 8 and 8.30 and grab a mug of tea whilst waiting for others to arrive or chatting with those who are there already still open to car sharing for any one interested - my start ppoint is Cefn mawr

I expect to have Aaron the ex panasonic user now a canon user with me

Speak up if you wish to attend and I will pm you my mobile number to hopefully help should any issues arrive

The weather is clearly not guaranteed but hopefully I have the bases covered for all weathers (hopefully)

Damn it - did I just tempt fate

Cheers

Hello

I have been reviewing the bbc/met office and so far they feel that
Capel Curig will be cloudy on Saturday - of course that can change between now and then and given the area it can be rain one minute and sunshine the next

Another option could be the Creggennan Lakes/Cader Idris just outside Barmouth - the weather there can be clear when the mountains further East are very wet - so we can judge it for oursleves on the day

Cheers

Woo hoo another on board

I am now armed with some suggestions from Simon Kit who has kindly allowed us use of his experience/wisdom in terms of locations

I wonder if he will send me some skill and talent to use as well

Hi Stuey...no problem with the advice, looking at your photos you're fine for the skill and talent!!

I ran a one-to-one in Snowdonia yesterday, forecast looked quite promising and the weather around Beddgelert/Watkin path was fine, we nearly got blown off our feet at Cwm Idwal...I wouldn't count too heavily on the forecasts

The waterfalls are looking particularly impressive at the moment, additional rain would make them even moreso and they're are a good option for heavy cloud if that happens...if you're thinking of southern Snowdonia then it's worth considering Pistyll Cain and the 2 other waterfalls closeby (rhaeadr mawddach & Ddu)...best parking in Ganllwyd near Coed Y Brenin.

Thanks Simon

Another few hints I will make a note of

As for skill and talent I am more reliant on luck and stubborness

I have been in touch with Pete's eats just to make sure there is nothing to hinder us (such as decorating or a planned closure) and all is okey dokey - let's hope the weather forecast remains positive
